Feng Shui I, A Short History

Many people love the idea of fung shui but are not sure what it is or how to use it. I am going to do a series on fung shui starting with a history of the art.

Fung shui has been around for over 2000 years. The term fung shui means wind and water, the Chinese science looks at the environment we live in and works with it to make our lives better. Fung shui also works with the theory of yin and yang, where everything is balanced.

Many people use fung shui to bring wealth and happiness to a home. I know some people who do not believe this, but still have used the method because it does seem to make you feel better and helps with stress. The big reason this works is because fung shui works with the environment and creates a wonderful calm living space when followed correctly.

There are a few key elements for fung shui, the five elements, wind, fire, earth and water. The trigram and bagua chart help you to use fung shui to your advantage.

That was just a touch on the history of fung shui, there is much more to learn about it. Tomorrow I will talk about the Bagua Map sections this will include the five elements and colors that represent them.

I would appreciate your thoughts on this post, why not comment?
