Winterize Your Windows
This post was published 10 months 1 day ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Recently at my house we were trying to figure out why things were so drafty feeling. Since we installed our fireplace we have realized that something is not right. Yesterday we figured out it was our windows. They are only 4 years old, but they still create a draft and let cold air in. There is a way to fix this and it’s a recommended way to save money during the winter. It’s as simple as covering the window with weatherization sheets.
They are very easy to use and inexpensive. They are sold in most stores including Walmart and Target. they are easy to install, all you have to do is put the included tape on the window, cut the sheets to fit and your done.
My Weatherization Tip:
The instructions may tell you to use a hair dryer to stick the sheet to the window. We have found in the past at our old home that doing this will actually create a problem. The wind will actually suck the sheet to the window for you. If you use a hair dryer and the wind tries to suck the sheet in it may remove the sheet altogether and you will have to start over.

Great advice, I have noticed that the windows let in cold air. I’m going to try this method out.
