Home Made Simple Coupons

Sometimes finding what you need or want for your home is as simple as walking though the store and grabbing the first things that catch your eye. The downside to that is you may end up spending allot of money that you didn’t mean to spend. That is why I love the Home Made Simple Coupon Book. Its a free book with coupon book that has things you need and want for your home. Things like Febreze, Dawn and Mr. Clean.

I have requested this book a few times now and I am never disappointed in the coupons I receive.

Improve Your Homes look With A Kit

Sometimes something homemade is the best way to make your home feel like a home. Something cozy like a quilt or other type of blanket sitting next to the fireplace can make someone feel at home easily. I know many people now a days don’t sew or quilt but it’s actually pretty easy to do and learn there are also many kits that you can get to help you on your sewing quest.

You can find Quilt Kits Online easily and they are very simple to use. They really help you figure out what to use and how to use it. Quilts I feel are probably the best way to really make someone feel at home and it’s also a great way to save on electric bills as a well made quilt can really keep you very warm.

Another great way to improve your home is by using artwork, now not all artwork is paintings or photographs some of the best decorative artwork are things you make yourself like punch needle works. These are really great for anyone who wants to be crafty without all the hassle of actually being crafty. You can also get Punch Needle Patterns online and they are really simple to use. They also come in many different picture types so you can tailor it to your needs and home decor.

Either one you choose is a good option to help warm your home for the holidays or just make it feel more welcome year around.

When Buying a New Home…

This post brought to you by bluecoast. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's always nice to go looking around and see what kind of home you think you really want before you step into a Realtor's office. You want to also have an idea of where you want to live and how much home you can really afford. That is one reason I like the Blue Coast Reality Website. Blue cost Reality serves the Wilmington NC Real Estate market and not only is the website very simple and easy to use but the images they provide are very helpful to both first time home buyers and someone who has had some experience.

On their website you can search by property type, neighborhood and subdivision. Not only can you see the inside and outside of the homes you think are interesting, but you can also get a street view and a birds eye view of the property as well so you can see what really is around the home before even going there. It's really very cool way to look at homes and because you can browse the website on your own you can be very helpful to your future Realtor by having a good idea of what you can get and what you want, before you even get to them.

Fun Info on WD-40

Known as “the can with thousands of uses,” WD-40® is truly one of the most versatile, multi-purpose problem solvers on the market! It protects metal from rust and corrosion, penetrates stuck parts, provides a great moisture barrier, lubricates just about anything And gets rid of all kinds of stuck on “stuff.” WD-40 —there’s always another use.

Wd40logofinal3I love WD-40 I use it on almost everything. I have actually been known to go to other people’s home, parks and really anywhere else with something that squeaks and used WD-40 on it. Yes, I have issues with things that creek and squeak. I’m always using WD-40 in my home improvement projects not only does it get rid of noises but it’s a great cleaner for tools and other items. I also use it to make my wood floors shine, I love this the most because my floors don’t end up slippery when I use WD-40, unlike other floor shiners. I also have used it to clean silver, remove grease on my stove and to keep water spots off my glass.

Leaf Out With Autumn Decorating

I love Autumn mostly because of the colors in the trees. If you are finding that your home seems a little dull you may just want to use leafs for your inspiration. I love to go out and collect leafs bring them home and use them to help me figure out paint colors, fabric colors and more.

If your not into completely redecorating take a walk and your camera and take some Autumn pictures to hang on your walls. This is a very inexpensive way to update your home for the season and show off your creativity as well.  You also could check out your local craft store and use silk fall colored leafs in arrangements, artwork or as a swag to help get into that festive Autumn mood. I recommend silk over real as it last longer, but if you want to use real and have time to replace the leafs go ahead.

What about you, how do you like to decorate for Autumn?

Create More Space With A Conservatory

Sometimes that home you bought just is not cutting it.  You thought when you moved in that you had enough space or maybe your family has grown and you really are just not ready to move or you can’t move that is where are conservatory could work for you and your families needs.

Conservatories are extremely popular in the UK and if your looking at building one there is a great website can help you.  The site is called Conservatory Designs, it is a comparison site that will allow you to search though various conservatory designs and compare them with others. The site itself is very easy to use and should be very helpful in finding a conservatory that will fit your needs.

You may be very interested in  ability to design your own conservatory, you can find this section on the site and it will lead you though the process of requesting a quote for your project. It’s handy to have this ability as not all projects can fit into the mold of prefabricated products. You can also c heck out the DIY conservatories and use your own building skills to create your own outdoor space. Personally I would choose this option for myself as I am a big DIY person and would love to see my hard work pay off in a brand new room for my home.

The only downside to this site is that the companies do only ship in the UK, other then that it is a great site for anyone looking at conservatories or are new to the idea of them and are looking to see what they are all about. The site really does provide great information for anyone looking to learn about this type of construction.

Use Blinds To Create Great Design

I love blinds, not only do they give you great privacy options, but they can also make a grand statement and provide lighting options that shears and curtains just can not. The best part is that you can get blinds that look good for a lot less then a curtain would cost, but still have great style. Cheap wooden blinds are a great way to go if your looking to save some money and keep a traditional style. Wooden blinds have a more classic look and work in almost any situation.

If your more into the modern look try metal blinds or fabric blinds to help create a more cozy feel in your room. Another great way to use blinds is to hang them in a doorway where you may not be able to put a door and use it to block out light from another room or just to create a barrier when you don’t want people to see what you are doing. Blinds are much cheaper then a door and can work just as well depending on their purpose.

I prefer to use both blinds and curtains in my home so that I can control the light that comes in but still have that soft look of a curtain. You don’t need both by any means, but if I had to choose I would start with a blind and worry about the curtain later.

Bedroom Redesign

Fall is not only a time for back to school, but it’s also a great time to take a look at your children’s bedrooms and do a redesign to make it for functional for schoolwork and sleeping. It’s really simple and easy to create a great space where your child can feel comfortable doing homework but relaxed enough for them to sleep.

The first thing I would start with is taking a long hard look at childrens beds so many now come with organizational tools that a regular bed for your child just does not cut it anymore. Many kids beds have desk, shelving and drawers to keep clutter at bay and help a small room seem much larger. My favorite type of  beds  are loft beds with everything underneath. They save space and help create a space that is all their own, this is really useful if your children share a room and you have enough space for two lofts.

You can also take a good look at Novelty Beds, if your child is a huge princess or maybe they like frogs or cars you can find a bed that fits their personality and includes all of the storage you need. I like this for kids who are younger that still may need to you help them with homework or they don’t attend school yet, so they really don’t need a desk space. In this case look for novelty beds that have storage that is easy for your child to get to and maybe some that is not so easy where you can store sheets and other items that your child will not need daily.

Whatever you decide to do concentrate on organization, when learned at a young age it can be very helpful as your child gets older, not only to keep their life on track, but you help save your sanity also.

Willow House Review and Giveaway

Good interior design is not always something that you have to go right to a store to buy or directly to a designer, sometimes you can have it brought to you. Willow House is a new company that will bring design to your home for you and your friends. It is a home party business that not only sells some amazing products, but gives you design tips and ideas as well.

Their current catalog includes home decor like candles, throws and vases along with cookware, food and magazines to help you keep up your decor and help you entertain. The current Fall/Winter catalog also has some great holiday decor and ideas to help you decorate for the holidays.

I have spent the last few days looking over the catalog and over the business plan and this is something I am considering selling myself. The prices are decent and the products are things that you can use in your home. We all need cookware at some point right?

Disclosure: I was contacted by Cheryl Hinton to do this giveaway for her personal business. If you like what you see and would like to place an order from her website you will need to contact her directly as currently the online payment system is down. She also provided the $25 gift certificate.
