Fall is not only a time for back to school, but it’s also a great time to take a look at your children’s bedrooms and do a redesign to make it for functional for schoolwork and sleeping. It’s really simple and easy to create a great space where your child can feel comfortable doing homework but relaxed enough for them to sleep.
The first thing I would start with is taking a long hard look at childrens beds so many now come with organizational tools that a regular bed for your child just does not cut it anymore. Many kids beds have desk, shelving and drawers to keep clutter at bay and help a small room seem much larger. My favorite type of beds are loft beds with everything underneath. They save space and help create a space that is all their own, this is really useful if your children share a room and you have enough space for two lofts.
You can also take a good look at Novelty Beds, if your child is a huge princess or maybe they like frogs or cars you can find a bed that fits their personality and includes all of the storage you need. I like this for kids who are younger that still may need to you help them with homework or they don’t attend school yet, so they really don’t need a desk space. In this case look for novelty beds that have storage that is easy for your child to get to and maybe some that is not so easy where you can store sheets and other items that your child will not need daily.
Whatever you decide to do concentrate on organization, when learned at a young age it can be very helpful as your child gets older, not only to keep their life on track, but you help save your sanity also.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this post, why not comment?
