Save Money, Buy A Toster Oven

Do you live alone or are there only 2 people in your household? If you answered yes you may want to check into buying a toaster oven because you could save yourself a lot of money on your electric bill.

Now I know your thinking it’s a toaster oven! I’m telling you they are amazing now. We have one in my home as our oven has stopped working. We use it all of the time and we have seen a good drop in our electric bill. Now if you have never bought a toaster oven you may want to check out different ones online and see if you can find some reviews. One site I have come across is toasterovensguide.com and they have a good amount of reviews. What I really like is that the reviews are sorted by cost, that means you don’t have to read reviews for ovens you can’t afford. Check them out and save money that you can use on paint or new furniture.

A Stimulus to Help You: Get New Appliances

It looks like the government may be helping you to improve your home and cut back on your energy bill. Later this fall you may be able to get a government stimulus rebate on energy star appliances. This rebate will be on top of any existing government, store or manufactures incentive meaning you could save a lot of money if you shop smart.  It’s kind of like the cash for clunkers program, but you don’t have to take in your old appliance. You just walk into the store and buy. I love the idea, but many think it won’t take off. What do you think?

Shop home appliances at Rainbow Appliance

I believe that many American consumers will be able to afford to buy a new dishwasher, washer, dryer or refrigerator. It doesn’t cost as much as a car and since this goes into effect later in the fall you could just tell yourself it’s a christmas gift. Another good thing about the program is that you still have your old appliance and there are many options you have for that old appliance. You can keep it, if it’s an extra fridge you may need it. Or you can find a local program that will pay you to take your old appliance. The third option is to donate the appliance and get a great tax write off.

If or when this goes into effect it would be a great time to update your home and improve the resale value by getting better appliances that will increase the value of your home and improve your electric bill.

Update Your Home With A Tip From The Past

Most people are all about saving money now a days, that means that services they once went out and spent money on are now services they are wanting to do in the comfort of their own home. That is where adding Fold-Away Ironing Boards to at least one room in your home is a great idea. It folds up and away so it’s out of your way when you don’t need it. Not only will ironing-centeryou cater to the yourself, but when you go to sell your home, that may just be a huge selling point and get you that buyer who wants to pay the price your asking for. You never know right?

Yes ironing your own clothing has gone out of style with the invention of the dryer that does it all, but really how many people have the money to spend on that wonderful contraption right now. Also will someone looking at your home have the money to spend on it? Oh and the energy that it takes to run the thing every time you need something to look good. An iron is a lot less expensive to run and you can use it for so many other things, like making your own cool t-shirt saying or creating a one of a kind table cloth for thanksgiving dinner. So, if your interested in getting yourself one of these, check out the link in this post and Get a 10% discount with coupon code: SPARK

Upgrading To Electric

My mother and step dad, with my help have decided to upgrade our propane to electric so they have been out looking at tank less water heaters, stoves and furnaces for the last 2 weeks. Monday they finally bought the tank less and are working on getting it put in. I still think that is the best way to go as it really can cut down on your electric bill.

The good news is they also don’t have to buy a stove as a friend of mine has one she is giving us. upgrading to either electric or just getting new appliances can be expensive at first, but if you can find some cheep or free things it helps, also once you do get everything upgraded the savings will start. I recommend getting new appliances if yours are more then 15 years old or are not an energy star product. In this economy saving money is a big deal and think about it this way, if you are buying new appliances to save you money your also helping the economy buy buying something.
